iPad enters the 10th era, Apple's iPhone and services business impressed

Although discussions around Apple in recent months have focused on services, the iPhone and iPad have caused the biggest sensation this week.

In the past few days, the company has ushered in the 10th anniversary of the birth of the iPad, and its latest quarter revenue has increased by 9% to $ 91.8 billion. After several years of declining sales, the iPhone has been reborn.

However, Apple is unlikely to end this week's work without bad news. In a court ruling this week, a jury ruled that Apple paid California Institute of Technology $ 830 million for violating the university's patent.

Apple's first fiscal quarter (as of December 28) was a big quarter. The company's $ 91.8 billion in sales exceeded Wall Street's forecast of $ 88.4 billion and easily surpassed $ 84.3 billion in revenue for the same period last year. Profit also rose from $ 4.18 in the same period last year to $ 4.99 per share.

Apple's recent quarter sales growth was largely driven by the revival of the iPhone division, which generated a record $ 56 billion in revenue. This performance is in stark contrast to the same period last year, when iPhone sales fell 16% to $ 52 billion. Apple said it was supported by strong demand for the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro models in the most recent quarter, but did not share unit sales data.

Earlier this week, I spoke with analysts and industry experts who dissected Apple's services business, which included iCloud, Apple Music, and other digital tools. They said that Apple's services business is likely to be a source of future growth, which could help offset any decline in iPhone sales. In Apple's first fiscal quarter, Apple's service revenue exceeded $ 12.7 billion, up from $ 10.9 billion in the same period last year.

Incredible, but the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs launched the iPad ten weeks ago last week. To commemorate this moment, I spoke with several analysts who reviewed the first ten years of the iPad and discussed what they think the iPad will be in the second decade.

According to data from market research agency Strategy Analytics, in the fourth quarter, Apple sold 70.7 million iPhones worldwide. Researchers say this is enough to exceed Huawei's 68.8 million units and Samsung's 56 million units in the same period. Although Apple did not disclose iPhone shipments, which means that Strategy Analytics data could not be verified, researchers said that Apple sold a total of 197.4 million phones worldwide last year. Huawei and Samsung shipped 295.1 million and 240.5 million mobile phones respectively.

This week, a jury in California ordered Apple and Broadcom to jointly pay $ 1.1 billion to California Institute of Technology because they violated the university's Wi-Fi-related patents. Among them, Apple bears $ 838 million, and Broadcom has been ordered to pay $ 270 million. Both companies have argued that they have not violated patents centered on technology that corrects data transmission errors over Wi-Fi networks. According to Bloomberg, Apple and Broadcom may appeal the ruling.

Apple this week introduced a new Apple Map. The company said in a statement that all US users should now be able to use the new version, which includes a redesigned map and more accurate navigation. Apple also said that it has enhanced privacy features in Apple Maps, so Apple will not be able to track users' locations or destinations, nor see when they search for locations.

TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple will have a large number of new and updated devices. He told investors that Apple will release a new budget-friendly iPhone SE 2, iPad Pro and new MacBooks in the first half of this year. You can also plan a location tracker called AirTag.

When i am looking for the best site to sell my iPhone, i found Handsetrecycle.com as good one and the best way to sell my iPhone.

Is foldable smartphones going to be the future

Samsung is making a giant phone that folds in half and sells for $1,770. The Galaxy F is said to be released in March next year, and the company plans to sell one million of them in 2019. The phone is basically a tablet that can be folded into a mobile phone, which is said to be able to open, as "snap" as the previous flip phone. but why? Cable TV's Brian Barrett traces the history of collapsible smartphone technology in a weekend report, saying: "These scenes are tempting: you can keep your smartphone in single-screen mode on the way to the subway. Check in on Twitter and then expand it. Once you get on the train and read the New York Times, you can see the size of the tablet. This attraction is very obvious and people wonder why it took so long." Is that kind of scene really tempting? Is the attraction obvious enough? Maybe I missed something here, but it seems that at best it is just a possible thing, I won't scream. If I see a mobile phone folded in...
