Galaxy S11 may have features that iPhone users have enjoyed for years

After months of rumors and leaks, we finally know when Samsung will unveil the shiny new Galaxy S11 series. The company announced on Twitter over the weekend of the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 11, 2020. In addition to the Galaxy S11 series (rumored to have three models, just like the Galaxy S10), we can also see the Galaxy Fold 2, which is rumored to use the Motorola Razr flip design.

Speculation about the Samsung Galaxy S11 series has focused on its camera system, which appears to be heading up to a 108-megapixel camera with a range of other sensors, from periscope telephoto cameras to ultra-wide-angle lenses. But Samsung's latest devices also seem to boast many software tricks.

XDA developers recently browsed the latest version of the Samsung One UI 2 operating system based on Android 10. The code found by the channel indicates that there are many new video and photo-centric features that have been inbound, and may be 45W wired charging Galaxy Fold2. But by far the most interesting discovery is for features centered on battery health.

As pointed out by Max Weinbach, a contributor to XDA Developers, it has a good track record when it comes to unpublished Samsung news, and the battery health feature allows Samsung users to check the health of their batteries (oddly, right? ). This will allow Galaxy S11 users to determine if the low battery life is due to a depleted lithium-ion battery – or if it is due to certain issues in the software or specific applications.

This feature is especially useful for users who plan to keep their device for several years and want to ensure that it runs optimally.

If the Galaxy S11 does have battery life, it will make the phone the same level as the iPhone, which has enjoyed similar features for years. iPhone 6 and later users can access the battery health feature in their device settings to learn more about the batteries involved.

Users can check the maximum capacity of the battery to see if the battery needs to be replaced or even tell you how the battery status affects performance.

It is reported that Apple is actively slowing down the chipset speed in older smartphones to prevent the silicon chip from drawing too much power from weathered batteries and causing the phone to shut down unexpectedly. Apple introduced this feature in early 2018.

Commenting on its battery health features, Apple said: "For iPhone 6 and later, iOS 11.3 and later added new features to show battery health and suggest whether the battery needs to be replaced. These can be found in Settings> Battery> Battery Found in health.

"Also, users can see if the performance management feature that dynamically manages maximum performance to prevent accidental shutdown is turned on and can choose to turn it off. This feature can only be enabled after the first unexpected shutdown on a device with reduced battery power.

Is foldable smartphones going to be the future

Samsung is making a giant phone that folds in half and sells for $1,770. The Galaxy F is said to be released in March next year, and the company plans to sell one million of them in 2019. The phone is basically a tablet that can be folded into a mobile phone, which is said to be able to open, as "snap" as the previous flip phone. but why? Cable TV's Brian Barrett traces the history of collapsible smartphone technology in a weekend report, saying: "These scenes are tempting: you can keep your smartphone in single-screen mode on the way to the subway. Check in on Twitter and then expand it. Once you get on the train and read the New York Times, you can see the size of the tablet. This attraction is very obvious and people wonder why it took so long." Is that kind of scene really tempting? Is the attraction obvious enough? Maybe I missed something here, but it seems that at best it is just a possible thing, I won't scream. If I see a mobile phone folded in...
