Apple iPhone XR has O2 network problems

Apple and O2 have confirmed that one of the most popular iPhones does not work properly on O2's network.

Some O2 customers said on Twitter that the iPhone XR lost its signal completely several times a day.

Many customers are unable to make and receive calls or send and receive text messages.

They are also working to get a reliable 4G internet connection, which makes apps like Facebook and Instagram redundant, unless Wi-Fi is available.

An O2 spokesperson told the BBC: "We are working closely with our partners to resolve intermittent issues affecting some customers using the iPhone XR."

"We thank all affected customers for their patience."

O2 declined to say how many users the issue affected.

O2 says turning the phone off and then on again can temporarily resolve the issue.

Apple said the issue will be resolved in a new software release.

The company said: "We know that the problem that causes intermittent network connectivity affects some O2 customers and we will fix it in an upcoming software release."

O2 client Jim Jimley told BBC News that he first noticed network issues on December 16.

"Since then, I have had almost no signal."

"It may send a weak signal once or twice a day and then send it again."

Mr Buckley said that because of his son's special needs, he turned to buying a used iPhone 7 for £ 180 and needed to be contacted in case of a school emergency.

He said O2 told him that Apple has introduced this issue in the latest update of the iPhone's iOS software.

BBC News is waiting for O2 to confirm if this is the case.

Mr Buckley added that O2 provided him with one month of free line rent as compensation.

O2 and Apple told customers seeking answers on Twitter to send them messages directly.

Samsung is making a giant phone that folds in half and sells for $1,770. The Galaxy F is said to be released in March next year, and the company plans to sell one million of them in 2019. The phone is basically a tablet that can be folded into a mobile phone, which is said to be able to open, as "snap" as the previous flip phone. but why? Check in on Twitter and then expand it. Once you get on the train and read the New York Times, you can see the size of the tablet. This attraction is very obvious and people wonder why it took so long." Is that kind of scene really tempting? Is the attraction obvious enough? Maybe I missed something here, but it seems that at best it is just a possible thing, I won't scream. If I see a mobile phone folded in...
