Apple happy with strong sales of iPhone 11

Apple's outstanding performance in its latest earnings report has "buoyed investors and company management."

Apple's financial results show that although sales in Japan have indeed declined, sales in all regions of the world, including China, have experienced growth.

But Apple's strong performance comes amid concerns that China's deadly coronavirus outbreak could affect iPhone production, including reports that Apple hopes to boost sales in emerging markets with this new budget-conscious smartphone.

Apple certainly benefited from sales during the Christmas holiday, but it seems consumers have responded well to the iPhone 11 series, despite the disappointment of not having any 5G features when it launched in September.

Judging from Apple's financial situation, as of the first quarter on December 28, Apple reported a net profit of $ 22.2 billion, higher than $ 19.9 billion in the same period last year.

In terms of revenue, there was also good news. Sales increased from US $ 84.3 billion in the same period last year to US $ 91.8 billion.

Of the figures for the first quarter, $ 79.1 billion came from product sales ($ 12.7 billion from services).

Reuters quoted Cook as saying in the deadly coronavirus outbreak in China, "as of last week, our travel was limited to critical business. This is happening and we are still collecting a large number of data points and monitoring it very closely."

Apple apparently has suppliers in Wuhan, the center of the outbreak area, and supplier production facilities in nearby provinces.

Apple has apparently closed one store in China and has reduced working hours in other stores due to its slow footsteps.

Cook was also quoted as saying that third-party stores selling Apple products are also facing closures.

Reuters quoted Cook as saying that the new Apple TV + subscription streaming video service had achieved "great success."

At the same time, Apple appears to have achieved $ 55.96 billion in iPhone sales, exceeding analyst estimates of $ 51.6 billion.

This pleases the market, as Apple retains a year of declining sales for its main money makers.

Cook reportedly said that the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro models have driven this growth and have also become a predictor for the company, saying that these devices "are our most powerful iPhone series ever."

According to reports, Apple's wearables unit and AirPods also include the Apple Watch, which has revenue of $ 10 billion, compared with an estimated $ 9.5 billion.
