Leaker Iceuniverse reported on his Twitter account that the Samsung Galaxy S11 is highly likely to use the new 108 megapixel camera sensor. This is huge, compared to the 12MP main camera of the Galaxy S10 and iPhone 11 Pro, it's incredible.
While "high probability" is not absolutely certain, Samsung's next-generation smartphones contain incredible cameras with precedents. In August of this year, Samsung announced on its blog that the cooperation with Xiaomi reached a milestone: becoming the first smartphone manufacturer to fill 108 megapixels into mobile phone camera sensors.
According to The Verge, it broke the 100 million pixel mark for the first time in mobile history, defeating Apple, Huawei and other companies. This is a valid reason, Samsung and Xiaomi will announce this feature in their new flagship product before other manufacturers come out.
There are also rumors that the phone will be equipped with a 5x optical zoom and triple (or more) camera system, as well as other more absurd features such as holographic notifications. If the leak comes true, Samsung will be at the forefront of mobile camera technology in 2020 – at least for a short period of time.
