Samsung Galaxy foldable phone many fix the screen crease before release

Samsung claims to have resolved one of the biggest concerns surrounding its new Galaxy Fold device.

Some smartphones, some tablets, Galaxy Fold is part of a new generation of foldable phones launched in 2019, although the secrecy still hangs over the phone, causing people to speculate that the device still has some problems.

The recently leaked video appears to show a noticeable crease in the center of the main screen, which is said to have appeared after about 10,000 times the phone.

Samsung countered this with its own video and demonstrated extensive folding tests to prove the durability of the Galaxy Fold.

The Korean electronics giant wrote in a blog post: "Samsung has conducted several rounds of testing on the device in its state-of-the-art reliability lab to ensure that the Galaxy Fold is ready to enter the market."

“Of course, considering the design of smartphones, folding testing is a key part of the Galaxy Fold's durability assessment.”

A one-week test examined whether the Galaxy Fold can exceed 200,000 times and expand - equivalent to 100 times a day, about five years.

"Although the scope of the test seems to be excessive for some people, Samsung believes this is critical to ensuring the hinge design of the device and the durability of the Infinity Flex Display," Samsung said.

Although the phone debuted four months ago, Samsung is still wary of its new phone and has not allowed reporters to report any hands-on time on the device.

Less than a month before Samsung’s Galaxy Fold pre-sale order, which will begin in the UK on April 26th.

The full release date will begin on May 3, allowing people to purchase smartphones for £1,800 through the Samsung website.
