What all you need to know about iPhone XR

The iPhone XR seems to offer most of the things that make the iPhone XS a knockout for £250 - but is there a colorful body and a slightly larger screen that the iPhone can buy?

Since the iPhone XS and XS Max are priced at £999 and £1,099, respectively, Apple has plenty of room to cut costs, but prices are still high and cheap.

The iPhone XR is the model, but the screen is slightly larger than the 5.8-inch iPhone XS, which is slightly smaller than the 7.5-inch iPhone XS Max, which also offers subtle differences.

The 6.1-inch LCD monitor is bright, relatively clear, and has excellent viewing angles, but not as good as the OLED display on the top iPhone or a competitor of similar price.

These borders are also significantly larger than other iPhones, making them look a bit like the iPhone XS in the shell. The body is made of aluminum and glass instead of stainless steel, which makes it smoother and easier to grip.

Although well-made, it doesn't feel as luxurious as the iPhone XS or the previous all-metal iPhone, but in most cases it will be placed in a situation I don't think will have much impact. It's worth noting that Apple doesn't make shells for the iPhone XR, which means third-party manufacturers are your only choice.

The iPhone XR is available in a variety of colors. It looks amazing in red or white colors, but it's a bit cheaper in the yellow option.

The increased screen size and larger border make it 4.5 mm wider than the iPhone XS, but 1.7 mm narrower than the iPhone XS Max, and its rounded edges make the iPhone XR just the limit I can use with one hand. Those with smaller hands will struggle. iPhone XR is also more extensive than its competitors, such as Huawei P20 Pro 6.1in, Samsung Galaxy S9 + 6.2 or Huawei Mate 20 Pro 6.4in.

The iPhone XR has the same A12 Bionic chip as the iPhone XS and XS Max, but only 3GB of RAM, while the more expensive model is only 4GB.

The daily performance of the new iPhone is indistinguishable: iOS feels lively and fluid, and the game performance is similar. Sometimes iPhone XR performance is even worse, because the amount of RAM is small, it may be during heavy multitasking, but I can't find any use in the real world.

On the other hand, battery life is better than iPhone XS and XS Max, which lasts for 24 hours and 27 hours respectively. The iPhone XR lasts more than 32 hours between charges, matching last year's iPhone X, which means it will alert from 7am to around 3pm the next day.

This is when I use it as my primary device, send and receive hundreds of emails, messages and push notifications, listen to five hours of music on a Bluetooth headset, watch an hour of Netflix, and take about 10 photos a day.

The iPhone XR is also technically slower than the iPhone XS 4G modem, but considering the speed limit in actual use is not a mobile phone but a 4G provider, it is unlikely to make any difference.

Is foldable smartphones going to be the future

Samsung is making a giant phone that folds in half and sells for $1,770. The Galaxy F is said to be released in March next year, and the company plans to sell one million of them in 2019. The phone is basically a tablet that can be folded into a mobile phone, which is said to be able to open, as "snap" as the previous flip phone. but why? Cable TV's Brian Barrett traces the history of collapsible smartphone technology in a weekend report, saying: "These scenes are tempting: you can keep your smartphone in single-screen mode on the way to the subway. Check in on Twitter and then expand it. Once you get on the train and read the New York Times, you can see the size of the tablet. This attraction is very obvious and people wonder why it took so long." Is that kind of scene really tempting? Is the attraction obvious enough? Maybe I missed something here, but it seems that at best it is just a possible thing, I won't scream. If I see a mobile phone folded in...
