How powerful is Samsung Galaxy Note 9

Not long ago, Samsung's Galaxy Note phone was actually a circus show. Let's go, guys, feast your eyes and see the biggest and biggest phone call known to man! Now, when I pick up the 6.4-inch Galaxy Note 9 (the latest model in the series), it feels almost normal. Somehow, we are used to the phone about a piece of bread.

However, in other respects, Note 9 still protrudes from the ocean of glass rectangles. Mobile phones in the US market have no more features or functions. It has an integrated stylus, not just a drawing tool, but also enough processing power, storage space and RAM to match your laptop. It even has software baking that turns it into a personal computer.

Note 9 does not really compete with other smartphones. Devices like the iPhone X or the Pixel 2 XL are like a fancy car, cool but still very useful. Using Note 9 is like driving a spaceship on an interstate highway - if the International Space Station is on your agenda, that would be great! Even Samsung said that most Note buyers are often the former Note owners.

However, when it comes to attracting new users, this is the problem: for unfamiliar people, it looks a bit like expensive overkill.

Note 9 is not much different from Note 8. It's a thin, sharp, long rectangle, as if you took a smaller phone and stretched it like toffee. It comes in two colors, lavender and blue. It has a headphone jack, a fingerprint reader, an iris scanner, three cameras, two speakers and a microSD card slot.

Internally, Note 9 has a significant improvement over last year's model. It has a huge 4000 mAh battery; Apple's largest iPhone battery is below 3,000 mAh. Obviously, two years after a huge burning phone scandal, Samsung is confident in its battery technology and re-plugs all its juice into its mobile phone. The battery life of Note 9 is impressive: when I used it for a regular phone, I charged almost two full days.

No one will buy a Note 9 to make normal mobile phone supplies. People will buy one because it comes with up to 8 gigs of RAM and 512 gigs of storage for $1,250 - which means they can run dozens of apps while playing games, listening to music and shooting 4K videos, basically It’s all at the same time. They will buy one to play "Fortnite" and look great on a large and sharp screen. So really, the Note 9 battery will still keep you for only one day, but you can push it hard and let it sleep.

My test of Note 9 quickly stopped camera performance or display clarity. Note 9 performed well in all of these areas. With the exception of the $1,000 starting price and the fact that it doesn't come with the latest version of Android, everything in Note's spec sheet is the winner.

Although Note 9 is the best Note, it's not a must-have upgrade for Note 8 - it raises a real question: What are you looking for?

Note 9 provides two ways to interact with it, most other phones don't. The first one is about its precautions - the S Pen stylus. It's always easy to draw or annotate screenshots, I like that you can quickly pop it up to take notes without unlocking your phone.

The new S Pen connects to Note 9 via Bluetooth, even if you don't have a touch screen. It's like any other Bluetooth remote, except it's always with you. You can click on its button to flip a slide in a presentation, control music or take a photo. It is hidden in the phone and will be charged in a few seconds.

I found the S Pen to be a handy tool that combines with another best feature of Note 9 called DeX. By connecting your phone to your monitor with an adapter or cable, you can convert your Notes to something like a desktop. No longer need the dock last year.

All of your applications are still running, but they open on an external display in a more Windows-like environment with a toolbar and plenty of multitasking. Some applications resize to fit larger screens, including Microsoft Office Adob e Photoshop Express and even Google's Chrome browser. Connect the keyboard and mouse via Bluetooth, or use the phone itself as a touchpad. You can even unlock your phone - and use it as a phone - while powering your desktop environment.

The surprisingly versatile Note 9 is closer than anything I tested to satisfy my real computer dream. But Samsung does not always achieve these functions very well.

When I took out the S Pen, Note 9 provided six things to do, and dozens of available settings. I receive multiple notifications and warnings each time I open DeX. Applications usually have to be closed and reopened to work on a larger screen.

I have been complaining that Samsung has unnecessarily copied Google's apps, but the bigger problem with Note 9 is that it won't leave me alone in the past week. It bombed me with pop-ups, new feature alerts and options that I obviously need to open.

Samsung said that interception is trying to help Note users find their powerful new devices, and the pop-up window is finally mature. However, even though I clicked on the initial wave, I still felt a little uncomfortable: Note's notification tray filled out a status report of things I didn't care about.

In the end, there are telephone people, then there are people who pay attention, and never twain meet. If you are the kind of thing that thinks the car is from A to B, then Note 9 may be too much. But if you like to drive a stick and soil your hands under the hood, you might like how much Note 9 lets you play.

Is foldable smartphones going to be the future

Samsung is making a giant phone that folds in half and sells for $1,770. The Galaxy F is said to be released in March next year, and the company plans to sell one million of them in 2019. The phone is basically a tablet that can be folded into a mobile phone, which is said to be able to open, as "snap" as the previous flip phone. but why? Cable TV's Brian Barrett traces the history of collapsible smartphone technology in a weekend report, saying: "These scenes are tempting: you can keep your smartphone in single-screen mode on the way to the subway. Check in on Twitter and then expand it. Once you get on the train and read the New York Times, you can see the size of the tablet. This attraction is very obvious and people wonder why it took so long." Is that kind of scene really tempting? Is the attraction obvious enough? Maybe I missed something here, but it seems that at best it is just a possible thing, I won't scream. If I see a mobile phone folded in...
